Remains of an ancient daul Called Dhandi Daul, probably named after King Dhandi was found in Dhandi Village around 10 km from Gohpur,Sonitpur district,Assam. It was protected by ASI and is presently preserved by them. They also had great plans ahead.
It was built by Ahom King Rudra Singha. The daul was completely destroyed in a major earthquake in 1897. The idols of Lord Shiva and Lord Agni of the daul are now preserved and worshiped in Diphulu Satra
